  2. 2Contribute funds (USDC only) to the Pyth Community Pool.
  3. 3Funds are used to buy Megapot tickets on a weekly basis.
  4. 4If one ticket wins the jackpot, the prize is split proportionally based on your lifetime contributions.

What is the Pyth Mega Pool?

It is a smart contract on the Base network that pools USDC contributions from the Pyth Community to buy Megapot tickets on a weekly basis. If one of the pooled tickets wins the jackpot, prizes are distributed proportionally based on your contributions.

How do I participate?

Connect your EVM wallet. Enter the number of tickets you want to fund and proceed with the transaction. Each ticket costs 1 USDC.

How are contributions tracked?

Each USDC you deposit counts as one contribution (e.g., 100 USDC = 100 contributions). Your all-time contributions are tracked and it determines your share of any jackpot prize winnings.

When are tickets purchased?

Tickets are purchased every Monday between 0000 and 0400 UTC using the total new contributions from the past week (1 USDC = 1 ticket). Ticket purchase frequency may be adjusted in future, depending on the level of participation.

How are winnings distributed?

If the pool wins the jackpot, winnings are distributed proportionally based on your lifetime contributions divided by the total contributions. Check your percentage share under "Your Contributions".

What happens if tickets from the pool win the daily (non-jackpot) prizes?

Those prizes will be redirected to purchase more tickets or used for maintenance of the pooling contract.

Why do I need ETH in my wallet?

You need a small amount of ETH to cover gas fees for approving and depositing USDC on Base network.

Can I still earn Megapoints when participating in the Pyth Mega Pool?
